Crock Pot Apple Crumble~
Another 'experiment' in the Crock Pot, which turned out so tasty. Like I said before, this is definitely a journey for me , finding new recipes and ways to cook without an oven. Its been a stretching experience, but a good one.
Chopped Apples, any kind about 4-6
1/4-1/2 Cup Flour
1 Cup Whole Oats
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup White sugar
2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
1/2 Butter/Margarine
AND 1/4 Butter/Margarine(TOP)
1/2 Cup Water
Core, Peel and Chop Apples. Add to a Crockpot sprayed with Butter and/or Pam. |
Sprinkle with Cinnamon, Sugars and Flour Toss well coating apples |
Add Oats and 1/2 Cup of Butter or Margarine or a combination of both diced into the oats |
Add this to the Crockpot and toss again |
Top with about 1/4 Cup more butter/margarine and add 1/2 Cup of Water-Do Not Stir- Cover and cook on High for about 2 Hours-Uncover and let sit about an hour |
Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream |
