Simple Sugar Cookies





 
SIMPLE SUGAR COOKIES

  • 1 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE OR ½ OF CUP EACH
  • ¾ CUP SUGAR
  • 1 EGG
  • 3 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR


PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 375. MIX FIRST 3 INGREDIENTS BLENDING WELL.

ADD FLOUR 1 CUP AT A TIME UNTIL WELL MIXED. YOU CAN EITHER FLATTEN INTO 3 DISKS AND CHILL DOUGH FOR A LATER TIME OR BEGIN TO ROLL DOUGH INTO ¼ INCH AND CUT WITH COOKIE CUTTERS OF YOUR CHOICE.
BE SURE TO FLOUR YOUR ROLLING PIN AND WORK SURFACE TO PREVENT STICKY DOUGH. I MIX A BIT OF POWDERED SUGAR WITH A BIT OF FLOUR.


ARRANGE ON PARCHMENT PAPER ON COOKIE SHEETS
~ (I JUST STARTED USING PARCHMENT PAPER AND AM TOTALLY SPOILED! KEEPS YOUR COOKIE SHEETS IN GREAT CONDITION)~
BAKE FOR 6-8 MINUTES.


COOL ON RACKS AND DECORATE WITH POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE & SPRINKLES.

  • 2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR
  • 1/8 CUP MILK ADDING A BIT MORE AT A TIME TO CONSISTENCY YOU DESIRE
  • ADD FOOD COLORING TO YOUR LIKING, DIVIDING INTO SEPARATE BOWLS
