Altoids Tin Keepsake~

This is such a fun way to take an ordinary mint container
and turn it into a keepsake box.
It can be filled with accordian folded paper
for photos, recipes or verses from the Bible. Or you can layer small tags together.

To start this project you just need a clean, Empty Altoids Tin.
Black Stazon Ink works well to cover it. You can also use Black Acrylic Paint to cover back and top edges. Use the Stazon in the front and where it will be closing for a smoother finish.

This drys pretty fast. Then make a layered top using Papers, Stickers, Embellishments, Old Keys, Flowers -Whatever you want the look to be. Have fun with it.

Use a Big Bite or A Hammer & Nail to punch small holes in the top to hold your top piece in place, with brads layered through flowers and such .You can also use empty match boxes for this project.
Use paper crafts ink as well to ink your papers and stamps.
Ribbon wrapped around the bottom works well too if you would rather not paint the whole project.
~Just have some fun and be creative~
