Altered Sweaters....

If you are looking for a fun project, this Altered Sweater Idea is a great way to get yourself out of the box and let your creative side go.~ Look for a sweater at a thrift store , wash it, dry it and your ready to go. Since its been in the thrift store its likely to have been washed many times so don't worry about special care.~
I chose a turtleneck which gave this more RUFFLE at the neck. Have some creative fun with it. 

1) Cut it from top to bottom.
2) On your sewing machine , set to zig-zag stitch, sew one side at a time ,pulling slightly, top to bottom to get the RUFFLE EFFECT .
3) Repeat this over and over again using the same color thread or various shades until you achieve the amount of thickness of thread you want.

4) Use other old sweater pieces to add embellishments. Add a pocket or two, also felts ,beads, buttons, embroidery...whatever you like.
